Joe Louis Flood, 73, of Main Street, Roxobel died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of First Baptist Kelford Church. He was a retired security guard at the Lewiston Lumber Mill.
Survivors include his wife, Gracie Hardy of the home; his mother, Georgetta Flood of Portsmouth, VA; a sister, Virginia Flood Cumbo of Portsmouth, VA; and his children, Virginia Cousins of Patterson, NJ and Diane Clark and Chris Bishop, both of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 23 at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rich Square, with the Rev. Tony Flood officiating. Burial will be in the First Baptist Kelford Church Cemetery, Roxobel.
