Willie Mae Gatling, 87, of Portsmouth, VA died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Portsmouth, VA.
She was a native of Gates County.
Survivors include one son, Earl Gatling of Durham; one daughter, Stephania Porter of Portsmouth, VA; one brother, Walter Wolfrey of Sunbury; two sisters, Vivian Howell of Sunbury and Margaret Lee of Maryland; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at New Middle Swamp Baptist Church in Corapeake. Rev. Claude Odom will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
