Jimmy Brown

Jimmy Lee Brown, 75, of the 200 block of Castelloe Road, died Monday, May 11, 2009 in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Mr. Brown was born in Toyler, KY and was the son of the late Anthony and Hazel Scites Brown. A retired pipe fitter at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, he served his country with the US Navy. Other than his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard and Bill Brown.
Surviving is his wife, Sandra Gainous Brown; a son, Joseph Lee Brown and wife, Kasey, of Hobbsville; a step-son, Kenneth Britt and wife, Robin, of South Mills; a sister, Beatrice Hewitt of Granville, OH; a brother, Ronnie Brown of Waukesha, WI; and two grandchildren, Morgan and Mackenzie Brown.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Hobbsville Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Dannelly. The family will receive friends following the service and all other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be to the American Cancer Society, in care of Marjorie Copeland, PO Box 699, Edenton, NC 27932.
