Arthur “Bay” Lee Speller, 67, of Windsor died on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Bertie Memorial Hospital.
A native of Bertie County, he relocated to New York City where he was employed as site maintenance at Perls Art Gallery. He returned to Windsor after his retirement in 1997 and was a member of Speller’s Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Belinda Curtain of Pittsburgh, PA, Keisha Speller of Rocky Mount and Shonta Speller of Windsor; two sons, Arthur Speller, Jr. of Spring Valley, NY and Sean Speller of Windsor; and one grandson.
A funeral was held on Saturday, May 9 at Speller’s Chapel Church of Christ in Windsor with Bishop John Armstrong officiating. Burial took place at Hill Crest Cemetery in Windsor.
Cherry Funeral Home, Windsor, handled the arrangements.
