William Futrell

William Thomas “Billy” Futrell, 77, of Hwy 305, Jackson died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at his home.
A native of Northampton County, he was retired from the NC Dept. of Transportation and a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Duke Futrell; a daughter, Dawn Leseney of Jackson; brothers, Henry Patrick Futrell, Roger Buxton “Buck” Futrell, Robert Earl “Bobby” Futrell and Bernie Darrell Futrell; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6 at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Futrell Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5 at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson and other times at the home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, Roanoke Rapids Chapter Relay for Life.
