Herman Pierce

Herman Franklin Pierce, 73, of Sterlingworth Street, Windsor, died Friday, May 1, 2009.
A native of Bertie County, he was a carpenter by trade and attended Askewville Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Lettie Davis Pierce of the home; son, Franklin Kennedy Pierce of Windsor; daughters, Sara Jane Edmondson and a foster daughter, Nicole Battle, both of Windsor;
brothers, Bill Pierce of Maryland, Gene Autry Pierce of Windsor and Henry Earl Pierce of Williamston; sisters, Shelby Jean Barber and Peggy Williams of Windsor, Lettie B. Arteaga Kenly and Juanita Jones of Woodland; five grandchildren, one foster grandchild and four great-grandchildren.
Reverend R.O. Denton Sr. and Reverend Buddy Denton Jr. will hold funeral services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5 at the Askewville Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 302 West Maple Street, Windsor.
