Sanford Aldene Satterfield Sr., 82, of Black Mingle Road died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in his home.
A native of Winston-Salem, he was a retired commercial fisherman and a past member of Winston-Salem Hunt Club.
Surviving are his two daughters, Victoria Wright of Norfolk, VA and Sarah Lebert of Shohola, PA; a son, Sanford A. Satterfield Jr. of Traphill, NC; a sister, Carol of Las Vegas; a brother, James Satterfield of Asheville; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on April 18 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, by the Rev. Michael Brinkley.
