Ernestine Winds, 71, of Roxobel died April 2, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, she was a member of Sandy Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as an Optical Technician.
Survivors include two daughters, Capuchine Winds of Bronx, NY and Cassandra Young of New York, NY; a sister, Maxine White of Greensboro; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29 by the Rev. Lycurgus Harrell at Sandy Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
