Seaboard man faces sex charges

JACKSON — A Seaboard man is behind bars after he allegedly committed sexual offenses.

On Saturday, Northampton County Sheriff’s Chief Detective Captain D.M. Harmon arrested Ralph Stanley Moody, 45, of 11143 Highway 305 in Seaboard.

Moody stands charged with two counts of second degree sex offense.

Harmon said the arrest stems from a report filed with the Sheriff’s office on Thursday, April 16.

Harmon said the victim in the case is an adult.

The Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald does not publish the names of sexual assault victims.

Moody was given a secured bond of $50,000 and his first appearance in court was Monday. Harmon said the case was continued until May 4.
