Annie B. White Thomas, 95, of the 900 block of NC Hwy 561 West, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, VA.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Bertie County, a daughter of the late Jordan Albert and Sarah Ann Butler White. She was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church where she was a member of the W.M.U. and taught Sunday school for many years. She was retired as a hairdresser and seamstress. Annie B. was the widow of Lee Anderson Thomas.
Left to cherish her memory is a niece, Merilyn Taylor; and a nephew, James W. White, who she raised; grand nieces and nephews, Billy, Edie, Anne and Tom, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
A graveside celebration of life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Highland Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Woody Copeland officiating.
