Archie Best Jr., 57, of West Church Street, Lewiston, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, he was last employed as a maintenance worker with Town of Lewiston.
Survivors include his sisters, Charity Tann of Ahoskie and Jacqueline Pugh and Mary McFadden, both of Lewiston; and brothers, James A. Best and Lord Best, both of Lewiston, Roosevelt Best of Washington, DC, Willie D. Best of Kelford, Robert E. Best of Gates and Anthony Best.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at Village Gate Church, Lewiston, with Elder William Carmen officiating. Burial will be in Weeping Mary Baptist Church Cemetery, Lewiston.
