Emilie Holroyd

Emilie Norwood Adams Holroyd, a native of Ahoskie, died March 30, 2009 in Princeton, West Virginia.
She was a worker for the Democratic Party from the local to the national level. She also wrote a cooking and food column for the Bluefield (W. Va.) Daily Telegraph. At the time of her death she was serving as a member of the State Library Commission, as appointed by Gov. Joe Manchin.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Holroyd of Princeton, West Va.; three children; four grandchildren; and a brother, Col. William P. “Bill” Adams of Winter Park, FL.
