Edwin Latos Spruill, 73, of Rich Square died Friday, April 10, 2009 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church, Roxobel. He served in US Army and was retired as a welder with Portsmouth Naval Yard in Portsmouth, VA, and as a meter reader with Town of Roxobel.
Survivors include sons, Miguel Spruill of Columbia, SC, Marcus Spruill of Philadelphia, PA and Kevin Spruill of Baltimore, MD; a daughter, Bridget Spruill Fennell of Raleigh; brothers, Reginald Spruill of Rich Square and Bruce Spruill of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Carolyn Winfield of Manhattan, NY; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 18 at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, Roxobel, with the Rev. Lycurgus Harrell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Rich Square, is in charge of the arrangements.
