Rev. Robbins E. (Bob) Dorsey, 80, of Valdosta, GA died Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Langdale Hospice House.
Rev. Dorsey served 41 years in the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. He served as secretary of Town & Country commission, District Secretary of Board of Missions, Board of Ministry, Committee on Church Location , and Committee on Superintendency.
Survivors include his wife, Elia Lilley Dorsey, a native of Gatesville; a son, Zeke Dorsey of Valdosta GA; a daughter, Robin Zamarripa of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren; and a brother, Carroll Dorsey of Chattanooga, TN.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 13 at Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Valdosta. Burial followed at Union Baptist Church in Pitts, GA.
