Kate Hill Griffin, 89, of the 1700 block of NC Hwy 45 S., died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Guardian Care of Ahoskie.
Mrs. Griffin was born August 4, 1919, a daughter of the late, Oma J. and Kate H. Hill, in Hertford County, NC where she spent her life. Kate was a very talented musician. She was a member of Christian Harbor Baptist Church where she served as pianist for many years. She was the widow of Tillman L. Griffin, Jr.
A graveside celebration of life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Harrellsville Cemetery with the Rev. Hugh Mizelle officiating.
