Ethel Roane Vick, 83, died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Bertie County, she was a member of Kelford Baptist Church. She retired as a business agent from the International Ladies Garment Workers Union of Atlanta, GA., after 20 years of service.
Survivors include four daughters, Edith V. Wallace of Scotland Neck, Nancy V. Smith of Rich Square, Aleene V. Boone of Rich Square and Wanda V. Johnson of Roxobel; one sister, Rose R. Sumner of Conway; one brother, William Roane of Moscow, TN; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24 at Kelford Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Spivey and Rev. Henry Boschen officiating. Burial will follow at the Peele-Vick Cemetery.
