Carrie A. Jones, 99, of Winton died Monday, March 16, 2009 at Guardian Care Nursing Home, Ahoskie.
A native of Columbia County, GA, she was a member of Philippi Missionary Baptist Church, Cofield.
She was retired teacher from Hertford County Schools.
Survivors include one brother, Napoleon Avery of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Moralle Gray and Jaunita A. Declouette of California; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22 at Philippi Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. William H. Lassiter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
