Mary Lois Blowe, 84, of Ahoskie died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Guardian Care, Ahoskie.
A native of Northampton County, she was a member of St. John Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years, was a deaconess and sang in the church choir.
Survivors include a son, Julian Blowe Sr. of Ahoskie; a daughter, Lois Dale Allison of Pikeville, TN; two sisters, Ruth Melton of Concord and Margaret Jenkins of Virginia Beach VA; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18 in the Ashley Memorial chapel of Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, with the Rev. Woody Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in Ahoskie Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Garrett Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association.
