Earl Gilliam

Earl Lindbergh Gilliam, 72, of Governor’s Road, Windsor, died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Martin General Hospital, Williamston.
A native of Bertie County, he was a Deacon at St. Matthew Baptist Church, Windsor, and self-employed as a sandblaster.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Rosetta “Rose” Gilliam of the home; children, Connie Wilson, Kenneth Earl Gilliam, Quinton Wayne Gilliam, Angela Renee Heckstall and Prentise Dion Gilliam, all of Windsor; a brother, Roy Gilliam of Windsor; sisters, Helen Gilliam of Washington and Mary Ethel Rascoe of Windsor; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 15 at St. Matthew Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Carter officiated. Burial was in the Rice Family Cemetery, Windsor.
Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, handled the arrangements.
