Mary Margaret Burke Vick, 82, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Boone County, IA, she was registered a nurse, having graduated from Broadlawns Hospital School of Nursing in Des Moines, IA in 1948. Her career started at Roanoke Chowan Hospital in 1948 and concluded with the Northampton County Health Department in 1984.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Jerry Vick Sr. of the home; one daughter, Carol Vick of Pasadena, CA, two sons, Mike Vick of Rich Square and Jerry Vick of Washington, NC; two sisters, Gladys Heinen and Betty Anderson; three brothers; Billy Burke, Martin Burke and Bob Burke; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15 at the Rich Square Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Rich Square.

The family will receive friends at Sykes Funeral Service of Rich Square from 7-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
