Louis Nixon, 87, of Cofield died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. He worked in the Maintenance Department for the Town of Cofield.
Survivors include his wife, Clarine Cownwell of Windsor.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 13 at Philippi Baptist Church by the Rev. William C. Clark. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
