Blanche Thompson, 96, of Connaritsa Road, Kelford, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Brian Health and Rehabilitation Center, Windsor. A native of Norfolk, Va., she was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, Lewiston, and a retired farm worker. Survivors include sons, Joe Wiley Thompson of Lewiston, Dr. George W. Thompson of Norfolk, VA and Governor D. Thompson of Savannah, GA; daughters, Fannie Mae Bond, Agnes Darden and Georgia M. Jones, all of Norfolk, VA, Sarah Ann Williams of Aulander, Mary T. Pugh and Clara L. Roberson of Boston, MA and Bertha J. Gordon of Detroit, MI. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 at Spring Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, is handling the arrangements.
