Amanda Eloise Stephenson, 84, of Garysburg died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Bedford Memorial Hospital, Bedford, Va.
A native of Batesburg, SC, she was a member of Garysburg Methodist Church and retired as a seamstress from Fannie’s in Roanoke Rapids.
Survivors include four children, Dollie Glaum of Raleigh, Quinton Stephenson of Oxford, Eula Carter of Roanoke Rapids and Jackie Heffelfinger of Bedford, VA; two sisters, Georgia Bailey of Florida and Lorene Gantt of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at Garysburg Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 at the home of Eula Carter, 1405 East Circle Drive, Roanoke Rapids and also from 1-2 p.m. at Garysburg Methodist Church prior to Wednesday’s service.
Massey Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, is handling the arrangements.
