Mrs. Nomie Goldberry was a native of Southampton County, VA. She lived in Pendleton, NC until her passing on February 28, 2009. She was 108 years old.
She lived to see six generations of her family. She was very loved by her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Walter Goldberry of Windsor, NC and Howard (Bertha) Goldberry of Mine Hill, NJ; one daughter, Cora L. Harris of Pendleton, NC as well as 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
There will be a wake from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 at Hertford County Undertakers, Winton.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Rising Star Baptist Church in Branchville, VA. Rev. Willie Dickerson will be officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
