Harold Lewis, 62, of Danville, Va. died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Harbour Pointe Medical Center.
A native of Hertford County, he was a retired teacher for Hertford County Schools.
Survivors include two sons, Joshua Lewis of Ft. Myers, FL and Myllam Lewis of Texas; one daughter, Georgina Lewis of Ft.
Pierce, FL; five brothers, Samuel Simmons of Va. Beach, VA, Gregory Lewis, Dwight Lewis and Emanuel Lewis, all of Texas, and Norman Lewis of Hawaii; six sisters, Barbara Williams of Philadelphia, PA, Gloria Simons of Ahoskie, Deborah Reid of PA, Freda Lewis of Newport News, VA and Velda Joe and Gail Cofield, both of Norfolk; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 by Dr. Clarence G. Newsome at Hunter’s Funeral Home Chapel, Ahoskie. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
