Carrie Elizabeth “Gail” Bell, 79, of Etheridge Road, Colerain, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth Bell of New Jersey, Raymond Bell of New York, Allen Jordan of Colerain, Rudolph Jordan of Powellsville, James Jordan of Meriden, CT and Shane Johnson of Hampton, VA; daughters, Cynthia Jordan of Powellsville, Wilhelmina Jordan of Stanford, CT, Phyllis Robbins of Harrellsville, Naomi Bell of Hartford, CT and Helen Bell of Middletown, CT; one brother, Frank Freeman of Ahoskie; sisters Rosa Chamblee and Helen Jones, both of New York, Ella Holley of Colerain, and Sara Ashe and Queenie Bunch, both of Ahoskie; 25 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15 at New Beginnings Christian Center, Merry Hill, with the Rev. Moses Bond officiating. Burial will be in the Wilder-Cherry Family Cemetery, Aulander.
