Darrell T. Duck, 49, of Franklin Drive, Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Zuni, VA, he was a member of Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor, VA.
He served in US Army.
Duck was employed as a cook at the Old Country Buffet in Virginia.
Survivors include five brothers, Morris Duck and Roscoe Duck, both of Zuni, VA, Jeffrey Duck of Franklin, VA , John Ruffin of Arizona and Glenn Ruffin of Smithfield, VA; and five sisters, Barbara Harrison of Richmond, VA, Renee Jennings of Zuni, VA, Wanda Walters of Hampton, VA, Cassandra White of Franklin, VA and Mary Holloman of Ivor, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12 at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rich Square, with the Rev. Gregory Gilliam officiating. Burial will take place at the Albert C. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery at Hampton Roads in Suffolk, VA.
