Martha A. Lassiter, 93, of Gates died January 20, 2009 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Hertford County, she was a member of Pleasant She was retired from Columbia Peanut Company.
Survivors include a son, Bennie Lassiter of Gatesville; a brother, Frank Lewis of Griffon; a sister, Mary James of Union; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23 at Pleasant Plains Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Ricky Eason. Burial will be in the Lassiter Family Cemetery. Hunters Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
