Floyd Scott Sr., 86, of DeBerry Mill Road, Pendleton, died Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids.
A native of Northampton County, he was a member and a Deacon at Zoar Missionary Baptist Church, Pendleton.
Scott was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a son, Floyd Scott Jr. of New York; a daughter, Ruth Dewitt of Pendleton; and a brother, Ruben Scott of Norfolk, VA.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 at Zoar Missionary Baptist Church, Pendleton, with the Rev. William Denton Jr. officiating. Burial will take place in the Flythe Family Cemetery, Pendleton.
