Ted Kent (“Ken”) Cherry Jr., 33, of Governor’s Road, Windsor, died Thursday, January 15, 2009 in Sussex County, Va.
A native of Martin County, he was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Lewiston.
Cherry was a graduate of Elizabeth City State University and self-employed with Cherry and Son Backhoe Service, Windsor.
Survivors include his parents, Ted Kent Cherry Sr. and Nancy Rascoe Cherry of the home; a son, Preston Alexander Cherry of Washington, DC; a brother, Arthur Terrell Cherry of Windsor; and a sister, Christina Henderson of Rocky Mount.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 19 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis T. Judkins officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, handled the arrangements.
