Jimmy Bridgers Hoggard, 69, of Cofield died Friday, January 9, 2009 at Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Mr. Hoggard was born Aug. 3, 1939 in Northampton County, the son of the late James Lynwood Hoggard and Janie Bridgers Hoggard.
He was a member of Harrellsville Baptist Church and retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Burbage Hoggard; and a sister, Dorothy Hoggard Turner and her husband, Vernon, of Kansas.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Harrellsville Cemetery in Harrellsville with the Rev. Mark Hill officiating.
Arrangements are bring handled by Massey Funeral Home in Aulander.
