Blannie Mitchell, 94, of Winton died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Guardian Care Nursing Home.
A native of Hertford County, she was a member of New Ahoskie Baptist Church where she was the Pastor’s Embassador and Pastor’s Missionary Aide. She was also a member of the XYZ Club.
She was a retired self-employed beautician.
Survivors include a brother, Howard Mitchell of Hampton, VA; and two sisters, Beatrice Hall and Marie Joyner, both of Hampton, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 16 by Rev. C. David Stackhouse at New Ahoskie Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
