Neal Freeman, Sr.

Neal Calvin Freeman Sr., 57, of Glovers Cross Road, Colerain, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at his residence.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Colerain.
He worked with Perry Wynn Fish Co. and Perry Brown Peanut Co. in Colerain.
Survivors include his wife, Janice R. Freeman of the home; three daughters, Gamellia Davis of Marinez, GA, Sharon Bond of Harrellsville and Wendy Speight of Colerain; three sons, Neal Calvin Freeman Jr., Kelvin Donya Freeman and Marcus Tyrese Freeman, all of Colerain; two brothers, Willie Outlaw and Bradford Thompson Sr., both of Powellsville; three sisters, Nora Douglas of Harrellsville, Barbara Ann Cooper of Windsor and Gladys Thompson of Hartford, CT; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 2 at Roundtree Temple of Praise Church, Powellsville, with the Rev. Nathaniel Thompson officiating. Burial took place in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Colerain.
Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, was in charge of the arrangements.
