Cecil Linwood “Doodie” Powell, 80, of Ashe Street, Woodland, died January 1, 2009 at his residence.
He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Woodland.
He was a retired casket maker at Parker’s Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include four sons, Cecil Junior Powell, Samuel Lee Powell and Linwood Earl Powell, all of Woodland, and George Calvin Powell of Maryland; three daughters, Malissa P. Jefferson, Ashley Jefferson and Marisa Jefferson, all of Woodland; a sister, Lucille Bush of Woodland; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Woodland, with the Rev. Joseph Powell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
