Nathaniel Aston

Nathaniel Aston, 79, of Suffolk, Va. died December 28, 2008 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was a native of Nansemond County.
He retired as a Supervisor of Cooking at Planters Peanuts, an affiliate of Kraft Foods. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War in both Korea and Japan.
He was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church, serving terms as a deacon and on various church committees.
Survivors include his wife, Dora White Aston of Suffolk, VA; a son, Keith N. Aston of Windsor; a daughter, Elaine A. Lankford of Suffolk, VA; two grandsons; and a sister, Eunice A. Lindsay of Chesapeake, VA.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at Western Branch Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Hills officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA. and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Western Branch Baptist Church, 6952 Old Myrtle Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
