Pearl Jones Polson, 100, of 240 Parker’s Fork Road, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 in her home. Mrs. Polson was born in Gates County. She was a homemaker and a member of Parker’s United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Beth Polson of Pasadena, CA; her son, Leroy Polson of Suffolk, VA; a granddaughter and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 22 in Parker’s United Methodist Church by the Rev. Mike Askew and Keith Atkinson. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
