James Garfield Heckstall, 73, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Bertie Memorial Hospital, Windsor.
He was a native of Bertie County and a member of Sandy Point Missionary Baptist Church, Windsor.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 18 at Sandy Point Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Hoyt Cooper officiated the service. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
