Thurman Riddick, 78, of Gates died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at his residence.
He worked for Planters Peanut in Suffolk, Va. for numerous years until retirement.
He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Riddick of the home; two sons, Quinton Riddick and Thurman McCoy Riddick of Gates; three brothers, Leon Peter Riddick of Windsor, Joe Ernest Riddick of Pendleton and James T. Riddick of Gates; three sisters, Bertha Riddick of Connecticut, Martha Ann Goodman of Gates and Erma Lee Lane of Cofield; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
