Ella Smith Powell, 93, of Belmont Street, Windsor, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Bertie Memorial Hospital.
A native of New Bern, she was a homemaker and member of Cashie Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Chris P. Glasgow of Charlotte and Julia P. Blackwelder of Wilmington; sons, Jack Powell Jr. of Windsor and Bill Powell of Merry Hill; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Reese Blanchett will hold funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Cashie Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
