Dorothy Singleton

Dorothy Lee Everette Singleton, 66, of North Hills Drive, New Bern, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
She was a native of Conway and resided in Aulander prior to retiring to New Bern in the early 90’s.
She was a cosmetologist at Designing Image.
Her membership at Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church included serving as an Usher, Youth Choir Director and Sabbath School Assistant
She is survived by her husband, James L. Singleton of the home; one daughter, Diana Singleton of Garner; one son, Gregory Singleton of Rocky Mount; five sisters, Ozella Dickens and Jean Benthall of Conway, Mollie Vaughan of Woodland and Louise Parker and Linda Williams of Murfreesboro; six brothers, Howard Everette Jr. of Conway, Arthur Everette, Charles Everette and Charlie Everette, all of Murfreesboro, James Melvin Everette of Woodland and Irvin Everette of Rocky Mount; and three grandchildren.
Her funeral service will at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 at Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church, New Bern with Pastor Eugene Mason officiating. The interment will be in the Singleton Family Cemetery, Vanceboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
Viewing will be at Oscar’s Mortuary from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 and during the same times on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the church and hour prior to Monday’s service.
