Hubert Hanes Bailey, 64, of Ahoskie died Monday, December 8, 2008 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
Bailey was a native of Portsmouth, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy C. Bailey; sons, William J. Bailey of Greenville and Chris T. Bailey of Franklin, VA; one step-daughter, Bonnie Holland of Ahoskie; brothers, James Bailey of Winton and Bill Bailey of Churchland, VA; sisters, Sandra Spence of Snug Harbor and Julia Seeds of Chesapeake, VA; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11 at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, Ahoskie, with the Rev. Paul Ange officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.
The family request no flowers and that memorial contributions be made in the family’s name to Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, PO Box 972, Ahoskie, NC 27910.
Massey Funeral Home, Aulander, is in charge of the arrangements.
