Sheldon M. Congleton, 69, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.
A native of Kelford, Congleton was retired after 30 years in the transportation industry, both maritime and trucking.
He was a member of Kelford Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and church pianist.
Survivors include his wife, Cheri M. Congleton of Chesapeake, VA; a daughter, Katelynne; and a sister, Linda Hathaway of Kelford.
Funeral services were conducted Nov. 3 at the Francis Gay Chapel of Oman Funeral Home and Crematory in Chesapeake, Va. Rev. Henry Boschen Jr. officiated. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk, Va.
