Lillie Mae Jenkins Cherry, 85, of NC Hwy 305, Aulander, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Rich Square Villa, Rich Square.
A native of Hertford County, Cherry was a member of Mill Branch Baptist Church, Aulander.
She was a retired teacher with 32 years of service in the Northampton School System. She was also the owner and operator of Cherry’s General Merchandise in Aulander.
Survivors include a son, Wade Maurice Cherry; a daughter, Barbara Outlaw; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 28 at Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald M. Dolberry officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, was in charge of the arrangements.
