Johnny Elmer Parker, 63, of Acorn Hill Road, Sunbury, died Monday, November 17, 2008 in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
Parker was born in Suffolk, Va.
He had spent his life as a farmer.
Surviving are a brother, W. Walter “J” Parker Jr. of Sunbury; one nephew and one niece.
Graveside services were held on Nov. 19 at Damascus Christian Church cemetery by the Rev. E. Vernon Gilmer Jr.
Miller Funeral Home of Gatesville handled the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Duke University Medical Center, PO Box 3708, Durham, NC 27710 and should be directed for use at its Diabetic Center.
