Nancy Byrum Pierce, 63, of New Bern died Monday, November 17, 2008 at her residence.
She was a member of Neuse River Baptist Church.
Survivors include Charlie M. Pierce of New Bern; one son, Rev. David W. Pierce of Belhaven; five sisters, Myrtle Lee Holloway of New Bern, Susan Jean Lewis of Kelford, Margaret Lynn Gray of Cary, Rhonda Kay Early of Harrellsville and Betty Byrum Esbenshade of Garner; three brothers, Johnny Byrum of Woodland, Clarence Earl Byrum of Woodbridge, VA. and James Robert Byrum of Menola; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 at Cotton Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd. in New Bern.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 at Neuse River Baptist Church, New Bern, with Rev. Jesse Pittman Jr. and Rev. Buford Lewis officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 at Stoney Creek Cemetery, Ahoskie.
