Jimmy L. Harvey, 59 of Tar River Road, died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at his residence.
He was a native of Gates.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Gloria Stroud Harvey; two daughters, Tomeki Skorurski of Mitchville, AZ. And Trina Allen of Sunbury; one son, Justin Harvey of Oxford; one stepdaughter, Dana Stroud of Washington, DC; two stepsons, Damon Hancock and Byron Hancock, both of Oxford; his father, Daniel R. Harvey Sr. of Gatesville; three brothers, Stephen Harvey of Hempstead, NY, Charlie Harvey of Albany, NY and Daniel Harvey of Kearnesville, West VA. and one grandchild.
Rev. Sandra Hutchinson will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Gatesville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 at Wright Funeral Home in Oxford and again at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Gatesville.
Arrangements are being handled by Wright Funeral Home in Oxford and Stallings Funeral Home in Gatesville.
