Kevin Wayne Higgins, 21, of the 100 block of Pocahontas Lane, died Sunday, November 9, 2008, in an automobile accident.
Kevin was born in Chesapeake, VA. and attended Christian Harbor Baptist Church. He was a 2005 graduate of Hertford County High School and worked in construction with Hog Slats.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Rachel P. Mabry and husband, Jerry, of Harrellsville; his father, James R. Higgins and wife, Linda, of Birmingham, Alabama; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Alice Harnes of Harrellsville. He is also survived by Brenda Miller, also of Harrellsville; and his girlfriend, Rebecca Koenig of Ahoskie.
A celebration service of Kevin’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Garrett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Harrellsville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and other times at the home of Rachel and Jerry Mabry, 112 Pocahontas Lane, Harrellsville, NC.
