Milton Robertson

Milton Truet Robertson, 72, of the 400 block of Morris Ford Road, died Monday, November 3, 2008, at his home.
Mr. Robertson was born in Bertie County, a son of the late William Julian Robertson, Sr. and Sadie Morris Robertson. He was an active member and deacon of Mars Hill Baptist Church and a former member of the North Carolina National Guard.
Milton was a graduate of Mars Hill High School and attended North Carolina State University. He was an agricultural leader in the state, being owner and president of Robertson Equipment Company, and co-owner and president since 1960 of Robertson Brothers Farms.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Charlotte White Robertson; his sons, Milton Truet Robertson, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Ahoskie, Gregory Robertson and wife, Rosemary, of Colerain; and his grandchildren, Milton Truet “Trace” Robertson, Hayley Rivera, Holly Robertson and Samuel Robertson. He is also survived by his sisters, Florence Reid of Ahoskie and Sarah Watts of Cary; and two brothers, William Julian Robertson Jr. of Ahoskie and Alton Robertson of Colerain.
A celebration service of Mr. Robertson’s life will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Mars Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Burke Holland and Rev. Billy Presley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
