Edward Reid of Ahoskie died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at his residence.
Survivors include three sons, Edward D. Reid Jr. of Twenty Nine Palms, CA., James V. Reid of Chula Vista, CA. and Terrence Reid of Rochester, NY; a daughter, Cynthia D. Reid of Amarillo, TX.; three brothers, George Reid and Wallace Reid, both of Virginia Beach, Va. and Horace Reid of Washington, DC; four sisters, Mary Reid of Ahoskie, Doris Preston of Columbus, OH., Margaret Lassiter of Florida and Edith Patterson of Greensboro; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Philippi Baptist Church in Cofield with the Rev. William Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery in Cofield.
