Magnus Henry “Junior” Wheeler, Jr., 77, a long time resident of Norfolk, Va., went to meet his Lord and Savior on October 21, 2008.
He was born in Roanoke Rapids, a son of the late Magnus Henry and Nellie Walker Wheeler, and was predeceased by his wife, Wanona Ewell Wheeler.
He was a retired construction contractor and a member of the Holiness Church.
Left to cherish his memory are four sisters, Helen M. Story of Chapin, SC and a former resident of Franklin, Va., Nellie Mae Williams of Colerain, Mary V. Jenkins of Aulander, Bettie Ropelewski of Garner; one brother, Grady D. Wheeler of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, Va. with the Rev. Sharon James officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
